Solar

Composed by Miles Davis, "Solar" is a 12-bar tune that is NOT a blues. Although the listener/performer may hear it start out as a blues, the shift from minor to major in the fifth bar signifies clearly that it is not a minor blues. This composition is a perfect vehicle for the performer to work on ii-V based bebop language.
