Concert Band

+For students who play a wind instrument
+For grades 9-12
+Students must have at least one year performing in a school based group (middle School applies)
+All members of concert band also perform with the marching band (fall) and pep band (winter)

Symphonic Band 

+For grades 10-12
+Prerequisite: Audition with director (Based on ability level and instrumentation needs)
+Transfer students may be placed in Symphonic Band with the teacher’s permission.
+Symphonic Band can be repeated multiple years
+All members of symphonic band also perform with the marching band (Fall) and pep band (winter).

Percussion Ensemble

+For students who play drums and percussion instruments
+For grades 9-12
+Students must have at least one year performing in a school based group (middle School Applies)
+Percussion Ensemble can be repeated multiple years
+All members of the percussion ensemble also perform with the marching band (Fall) and pep band (winter).
+Students will audition to be members of the drumline for marching band. Any student who doesn't make the drum line will perform with the marching band as a member of the front ensemble/pit

Wind Ensemble

+For grades 10-12 (Based on ability level and instrumentation needs)
+Prerequisite: Audition with director
+Transfer students may be placed in Wind Ensemble with the teacher’s permission.
+Wind Ensemble can be repeated multiple years
+All members of wind ensemble also perform with the marching band (Fall) and pep band (winter)

Guitar Studio
+For grades 10-12
+Prerequisite: Guitar I + II
+Guitar studio can be taken multiple years
+Students will play as a classical guitar ensemble, as classical soloists, and in mixed pop ensembles
+Graduates of guitar studio have gone on to pursue careers as professional guitarists
+All members of guitar studio will participate in the IHSA solo + ensemble competition
