**Charlie Christian's solo on "Benny's Bugle" From The Benny Good Man Sextet (1939)**

Charlie Christian was the first innovators of the electric guitar in jazz. His playing was light years ahead of most of the guitar players of the time. This solo showcases his exceptional ability to play great melodic lines. While this solo is definitely a "swing" solo it occasionally foreshadows the language of bebop players.
